Weekly Hydro-meteorological Report, 25 June, 2015


Highlights:


During 16th – 22nd June 2015 Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces mostly received rainfall up to 20-45 mm. In 16th, 17th, and 18th June, rainfall up to 30 mm was observed in the ocean near Western, Eastern, Northern and Southern provinces. Rainfall up to 45 mm was observed in Kalutara, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya, and Kegalle on 16th and 18th June. Rainfall was decreasing in the end of the week. NOAA models predict high rainfall in south western and southern regions of the country in the next fortnight.

Weekly Hydro-meteorological Report, 18 June, 2015


Highlights:


During 10th – 16th June 2015 Western, Central and North provinces received rainfall up to 20-40 mm. In 11th, 15th, and 16th June, rainfall up to 30 mm was observed in the ocean near Western and Eastern provinces. Rainfall up to 30 mm was observed in Vavuniya, Galle, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Badulla, Kalutara, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura and Western province on 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th and 16th June. NOAA models predict high rainfall in Western region of the country in the next fortnight.

Weekly Hydro-meteorological Report, 11 June, 2015


Highlights:


During 2nd – 8th June 2015, high rainfall was received throughout the week in Eastern, Western, Central and North Central provinces up to 20-40 mm. In 3rd, 5th, and 7th June, heavy rainfall up to 85 mm was observed in Polonnaruwa, Moneragala and Ampara districts. In 6th June, heavy rainfall of 120 mm was observed in the ocean near Trincomalee district. NOAA models predict high rainfall in Western and Eastern provinces in the next fortnight.

Weekly Hydro-meteorological Report, 04 June, 2015


Highlights:


During 27th May – 2nd June 2015, high rainfall was observed towards the end of the week which was an increase when compared to the previous week. In the beginning of the week there were no rain in any part of the country and the Eastern and Uva provinces observed rainfall up to 70 mm/day from 30th May. Highest rainfall of 70 mm was observed in Ampara. Central, Sabaragamuwa, North Eastern and North Western provinces also received rainfall up to 10-30 mm/day. NOAA models predict high rainfall in Eastern, South Eastern and Western provinces in the next fortnight.
