Highlights:

The NCEP model predicts dry weather conditions for the entire island in the coming week.
Between 6-12 Feb: up to 80 mm of rainfall was recorded in Puttalam on the 6th.
From 4-10 Feb: minimum temperature of 15 ^OC was recorded from Nuwara Eliya district while most parts of the island recorded a maximum temperature between 30-35 ^OC.
From 6-12 Feb: up to 18 km/h, easterly winds were experienced by the entire island.
Average sea surface temperature was observed in the northern seas of Sri Lanka.

Highlights:

The IRI weekly forecast predicts total rainfall between 25-50 mm in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Kegalle, Badulla, Ratnapura and Monaragala districts during 7th-12th Feb.
Between 31 Jan-6 Feb: up to 80 mm of rainfall was recorded in Puttalam on the 5th.
From 28 Jan-3 Feb: minimum temperature of 15 ^OC was recorded from Nuwara Eliya district while western and southern parts of the island recorded a maximum temperature between 30-35 ^OC.
From 30 Jan-5 Feb: up to 36 km/h, easterly winds were experienced by the southern regions of the island.
0.5 ^OC below average sea surface temperature was observed in the northern seas of Sri Lanka.

The NCEP weekly forecast predicts total rainfall between 105-115 mm in Ampara district during 30th Jan-05th Feb.
Between 24-30 Jan: up to 50 mm of rainfall was recorded in Nuwara Eliya on the 29th and in Badulla on the 30th.
From 21-27 Jan: minimum temperature of 15 ^OC was recorded from Nuwara Eliya district while western and southern parts of the island recorded a maximum temperature between 30-35 ^OC.
From 23-29 Jan: up to 18 km/h, northeasterly winds were experienced by the entire island.
0.5 ^OC below average sea surface temperature was observed in the northern seas of Sri Lanka.

From 16-22 Jan: up to 18 km/h, northeasterly winds were experienced by the entire island.
0.5 ^OC below average sea surface temperature was observed in the northern seas of Sri Lanka.

From 7-13 Jan: minimum temperature of 15 ^OC was recorded from Nuwara Eliya district while western and southern parts of the island recorded a maximum temperature between 30-35 ^OC.
From 9-15 Jan: up to 30 km/h, northeasterly winds were experienced by the entire island.
0.5 ^OC below average sea surface temperature was observed in the northern seas of Sri Lanka.

The WRF Model predicts up to 65 mm of rainfall in Matale, Kandy, Badulla and Ampara districts on January 13th.
Between 2-8 Jan: Rainfall up to 30 mm was recorded in Monaragala district on January 2nd and 3rd.
From 31 Dec- 6 Jan: minimum temperature of 15 ^OC was recorded from Nuwara Eliya district while northern, western and southern parts of the island recorded a maximum temperature between 30-35 ^OC.
From 2- 8 Jan: up to 36 km/h, northerly winds were experienced by the northern and central parts of the island and up to 18 km/h in the southern regions.
0.5 ^OC above average sea surface temperature was observed in the southern seas of Sri Lanka.

Highlights:

The NCEP weekly rainfall forecast predicts between 75-85 mm of rainfall in Monaragala, Ampara, Badulla and Hambantota districts during 10th-16th Jan.
Between 26 Dec- 1 Jan: Rainfall up to 60 mm was recorded in Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya, Ratnapura and Badulla districts on December 26th.
From 24- 30 Dec: minimum temperature of 15 ^OC was recorded from Nuwara Eliya district while western and southern parts of the island recorded a maximum temperature between 30-35 ^OC.
From 26 Dec- 1 Jan: up to 18 km/h, northeasterly winds were experienced by the entire island.
Average sea surface temperature was observed in the southern seas of Sri Lanka.
